Made from the shell of fruit from the Sapindus Mukorossi tree, these shells are naturally high in saponin – natures soap. Saponin cleans and softens clothing, so is a natural alternative to laundry detergent and fabric softeners. Certified organic and chemical-free, soap nuts are biodegradable and compostable at the end of life. Naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial and antifungal, making them suitable for sensitive skin, children and babies. An incredibly economical way to wash, equating to about 10c per wash load per 1kg bag. Soapberries can also be used as a multipurpose cleaner, handwash, body wash and shampoo - simply boil the berries for 15mins and use the liquid.
Greywater and septic tank safe. Each purchase supports the ‘Grow Nepal’ initiative, supporting Nepalese communities and protecting the trees to reduce deforestation in the Himalayas.
